New Orleans: Bush’s passive genocide
"Katrina exposed serious problems in our response capability at all levels of government… And to the extent that the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility.” -George W. Bush [Reuters]
Bravo Mr. President, I assume you’ll offer yourself up to be handcuffed and dragged off to jail along with others who are being tried for failure to act?
Don't be fooled by the rhetoric, what we've witnessed these past weeks in New Orleans, has been a calculated passive strike on an impoverished and economically disenfranchised ethnic people. Federal flood-migration funding cut by 80%, emergency agencies dismantled, pleas for aide ignored -- and when disaster striked, those who survived were left to starve to death.
Now that the city has been knocked down, Bush's friends have been rewarded with no-bid contracts to rebuild it. I hear they'll save a ton on labor too.

My head hurts.
